Yellow Swarm at the Drive-in Movies!!!!
We have been invited to join Heartbeat Classic Chevys for a night at ...
the DRIVE-IN Movies!!!
We have done this a couple of times before and it is soooo fun!
We drive around see cool things....go to dinner...then drive to the movies and all park together - sit in our lounge chairs and have grand fun!
The plan...and you can meet the group any where along the line...
1. Starting Point: Mission Bay Visitor’s Center
Arrival time: 3:00PM, Departure: 3:30PM
We will meet at the Visitor’s center located alongside the I-5 at Mission Bay.
DirectionsTake the Clairemont Drive exit and go west until first stop sign.
Continue straight, then drive around the building to get to the parking lot (look for the Sea of Yellow!) Thomas Brother’s Map Page 1248, Section D-7
Then we will drive to see Fort Rosecrans and enjoy the view...
2. Dinner: Daddy’O’s – 3960 West Point Loma Blvd., Ste J, San Diego
Arrival time: 4:45PM (or soon after), Departure: 7:00PM

Directions: From southbay, east county and inland north county...8 west to Sports Arena Blvd exit. Go left...next light, W. Pt Loma turn right to Groton. Turn into parking lot and we are directly ahead. Look for our sign and the Wells Fargo signs. From North county coastal take 5 south to Sea world off ramp...follow sea World drive to Nimitz, left on Nimitz...to W. Pt Loma Blvd. Turn left to Groton, turn left into parking lot and we are dead ahead.

Arrival time: 7:30PM (gates open at 7PM and movies start approximately 8:30PM)

Exit Riverford Rd. go North
Left on Woodside Ave. North
Drive-in Entrance on the right approx. 1 mile
Movies are not announced until closer to event date, however you can Google “Santee Drive-In Theater” to review the calendar and see what choices you will have for this event date.

* You will need a radio that can be tuned precisely to hear the movie. Please be sure to check radio batteries before leaving home.
We will be joining members of three other car clubs and about 50 cars. This should be quite an event. Doesn’t get more cool than a drive-in theater filled with YELLOW cars ! !
